Red-winged Blackbird

I love Prospect Park this time of year with all of the Blackbirds, Robins, Grackles, Blue Jays, Sparrows, etc. displaying their courtship behaviors and battling for limited nesting territory in a crowded urban area (kind of like the humans living there too). I caught this Red-winged Blackbird making his presence felt in a big way.

Nice singing pose, showing off the epaulets.

Nice job on the exposure of the blacks, Marc. The detail looks good and the singing pose is great. I think you could remove the extra stick on the right as it doesn’t add anything to the image. that the perch doesn’t already convey.
