nice look at this redwinged blackbird. The detail is good. I like the pose And Composition… blackbirds are the hardest photograph because of the lighting. You have done well here.

Nice pose you caught with the legs on separate branches. Exposure where it really counts looks good. I like the overall composition too with the bird on the left of the frame.

Beautiful image, Allen. I don’t worry about trying to pull detail out of the abdomen of black birds-it’s nearly always badly lit and a light suck. We don’t see any detail there in the wild, so I see no reason to expect to see it in a photograph-end of soapbox.

The willow perch is just perfect for this species and I love how it’s framed by it with the fairly well defined leaves surrounding the bird and nice sooth background.
