I saw this egret in late January off of Wildlife Drive, Ding Darling NWR, Sanibel Island. Doing its fishing dance.

Outstanding sequence of their shading behavior!! I’ve heard the Ding Darling has suffered a lot lately but you seem to have found some good action.

Excellent demonstration of this behavior and beautiful images, Allen. The water is gorgeous and the poses are very good.

I really like the first one; I don’t think I’ve ever seen that sort of canopied wing position. Good timing to get the action on the second.

You were able to capture this behavior very well, Allen. Great angle, fantastic light and the reflections and splash in the last image add a lot.
