Reflection Lake

What technical feedback would you like if any?

What artistic feedback would you like if any?

Any pertinent technical details: Canon 7D, 10-22 @ 10, 1/640 @ f9, ISO 250; GND filter I’m posting these two images of the garden lake ( named as in the title ) at the C18 country house of Lyme Park in Cheshire. I like the idea of the water and sky filling the frame top and bottom, but then the island of rhododendrons slightly obscures the house. How much does that matter ?

You may only download this image to demonstrate post-processing techniques.

Ian, I much prefer the second image with a clear view of the structure. The placement there between the rhododendrons and the very tall tree on the right is perfect…:+1:
The only change for me would be to work on the overall toning on the second image to make it darker like the first image…

Ian,

I also prefer the second composition even though the pink is actually a nice touch of color for the image. I agree about the darkening to make the second to look more like the first.

“Number 2”…tho I think you can do a lot better.
On a related topic…I think you are someone who would make grand use of a tilt-shift lens.
