Reynolds Gorge

I saw this fig tree the morning before I took the image and didn’t take the shot for one reason or another, but we ventured back along the creek in the late afternoon the next day when the light was better.

Glennie, that fig tree really stands out well and its reflection is a nice bonus.

I like this very much. Were you kayaking? I love paddling rivers for this reason - the light can change so much from the time you start to the time you get back. Tangles of roots always draw me in and I love the way the spread mimics the branches (actually, they spread for much the same reasons and in the same geometry). The vines hanging down are interesting, too. Quite mysterious.

Good one. Kris said it well, very mysterious. I would be inclined to clone out the white bits (foam?) in the river, but really nice job on the B&W processing. Tones and contrast look great.
