Ruby-crowned Kinglet

Yeah, the kinglet could be a bit sharper, but I liked this mainly for the setting the kinglet was in.

Yep, agree with you assessment, Allen. Terrific setting. I’ve been looking for our Kinglets to arrive.

I like this for the ruby feathers displayed on the top of its head! It was excited for some reason and you caught him showing off the red. It’s been elusive for me. Well done!

Hi Allen
The setting is great. The red crown is cool and I could live with the focus. (600mm at f6.3 is not the best setting on this lens. Did you remove something under the bill?
Peter

Detail in the Kinglet looks fine to me, Allen. I do like the setting. I chased one up and down the walkway at the pond I was at Wednesday and it never held still long enough to even click the shutter, so you did very well on this. Hopefully we’ll be able to catch them displaying soon.

Thanks, @peter for commenting. No, the bill is unchanged from the raw image. Maybe it has a bit of dirt under the bill.
