Gorgeous water and a nice view of one of the more interesting looking ducks, Ed. I really like the two stray feathers on the water.

Always nice to get a Ruddy Duck in breeding plumage and you captured this well with a good pose and nice detail. Nice color of the water as well.

Ruddies are beautiful ducks, and this is a great shot. Vibrant colours, nice detail and pose, and it is all set off perfectly by the golden water.
Sweet!

Lovely catch – both the duck and the water! I’d be tempted to bring up the gold saturation just a bit and would probably try to clone out or strongly minimize the little cap that the reflection has placed on the head. The rest of the reflection is gorgeous!

Really nice Ed! Beautiful duck and reflection on gorgeous water. Sharpness and exposure look good. Nice placement of the subject in the frame and fine colors. I like Diane’s suggestions of upping the saturation of the water and taking out the reflected head cap. Great image either way though.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and encouraging comments on this. I have attempted to remove the weird cap, and increase the saturation in the water.

Hi Ed, I like the head cap reflection removed in the repost. I could see toning down the brightness increase in the water in the repost. Wonder what just moving up the water saturation would do.

Hi Ed, I took a shot at upping the saturation in the water without touching brightness. Here it is below. Subtle difference.

@Allen_Sparks . Nice adjustment and definitely a better look to it. I will go back and redo this one.
