Rufus and Crocosmia with REPOST

Repost

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

there were some brown dead leaves In the background of this Crocosmia which caused color behind the plant to be brownish. I don’t know little weird or not. I like the view of the hummingbird and Wing position. but I think it would be really difficult to change all the brownish areas to green since there is so much diffusion.
I think the picture would look better than it was all gr.een but that would be hard to do to get it to blend in properly

I like the pose and wing position also, David. The out of focus leaves in the background don’t bother me much-my first impression was that it was more OOF Crocosmia blooms providing an echo effect. I do find the hummingbird a bit overprocessed (a bit oversharpened and over saturated to my eye).

I like the composition. The flowers and the hummer seem well balanced. I like the contrasting green and red, but wonder how it would look if the highlights were decreased in the yellowish areas of the background.
