Sandhill Crane Pan Blur

Getting pan blur shots is a real challenge. Easy enough to get the blur :face_with_raised_eyebrow:, but much harder to get the blur and also keep the head/eye sharp . Captured this image last week at Bosque Del Apache. The number of keepers is pretty low doing this kind of shooting, but is sure is a fun challenge.

Wonderful! I love hoe the gray-brown areas above the bird echo the color of the left wing. Iโ€™ve had zero success at this.

I love this kind of images - the dynamics of it. As long as something (eye, head) is sharp, which is the case here. Wonderful setting, light and pose as well. Cheers, Hans

Excellent. I have tried this before and failed miserably. This is outstanding.

This is very hard to do. Iโ€™ve only succeeded once in numerous attempts. You got detail where it is needed and blur showing forward motion. The warm colors are quite pleasing. Good job!

Excellent job, Keith. This is a tough one to pull off and you did it very well.
