Delton: One of my favorite places on the planet and a fine rendition of the conditions. Terrific capture and presentation of a unique moment. >=))>

Ahhhhh, another amazing Dune scene (seen). I find my eye rolling around in the mounds and curves, being grounded in the bushes that are perfectly placed in the composition. I did have an idea to play around with cropping up from the large, intense contrasty bottom part of the image so that its curve ends about 2/3 of the way in. There’s so much of it’s dark heavy presence my eye kinda gets stuck there. I’ll give a try at posting what I mean with your photo - never tried that before, so we’ll see. Love how the big mountains ever present behind the Mesquite Dunes is shrouded in that lovely uplifting fog - no wait a minute, this is Death Valley. No fog there! That’s blowing sand, right?

I did it! (I think). Here’s my thought for a crop. I tried to keep it at 16x9, but it didn’t quite allow enough crop up from the bottom without losing that very cool s curve UL. Hope it was ok to play around with it?

Let me add my 2 cents as it relates to the cropping. Connie’s crop of the bottom portion , is an improvement and I would also take a bit of the left side . This would help to emphasize the dust storm . All in all a nice image.

This is just great Delton. I don’t really see any reason not to stick with your original image here, but if you were to crop a bit, I would crop up from the bottom just a bit, but leave the complete line of the sloping dune in the foreground.

Connie: I see what you mean, and that is an improvement
Thanks
Del

yes I think cropping some from the bottom helps

Thanks. I see some edits, though, with cropping some from the bottom
