Sandy Cape lighthouse is on the northern tip of Fraser Is (K’gari) in Queensland, Australia. Fraser Is is the biggest sand island in the world. Getting there is a trial (once you’re on the island) as its a 2 hour drive up the beach from Orchid Beach when the tide is low and the Ngkala Rocks bypass is passable (Search for Ngkala Rocks online). Once there it’s an hour’s walk up the driveway through the dunes. The view is worth the effort.
Anyway, next to the lighthouse is this shed that holds an assortment of historical items. The shed is dark, the window bright, the bench skew-whiff, a plastic sleeve amongst the bottles. The shot is taken hand held through a gap in the steel security door.
I’ve been there maybe 4 times but this is the best shot I could get and that in 2011.
Shot on a 7D with an EF 24-105 f/4 L @ 24mm, 5/4.2, 1/80, ISO100.

I like the edit and wouldn’t do anything much differently I don’t suspect. One thing that comes to mind is to maybe reduce the intensity of the red life ring. Cool bottles and I like the view to outside.
For someone who collects old medicine bottles, I just LOVE this!
What a find!
That old window and the illuminated bottles is just excellent.
I do wonder what just a touch of (or touch more of) shadow control might do to bring out the darker bottles. I’ll play with this a bit when I can.
This was quite a challenge - but fun! SO many areas of wonder here.
Here is my version:
leveled it - then UN-leveled it, (LOL) as the bottles were then not vertical. The off-level old window and “horizontal” wall boards reveal the age of the structure.
Brought out the shadowed areas a bit on the highlight/shadow slider
brightened up the whole thing slightly, then backed off about 50%, as I don’t think “brighter” is the mood you wanted to capture
Darkened the window only and brightened only the illuminated bottles
Added a small hair of saturation to the reds and greens
