Christine,
First of all, welcome to NPN! I don’t get to Wildlife to often, but I seen you recently joing a few months ago. Welcome aboard!
OH MY, this is just outstanding. So your first try in the backyard??? Well, I’m guessing a result like this might - and should trigger some more time spent using the camera motion technique.
You have many things going on here that together have produced a beautiful image. I really like that youv’e kept the colors a bit subdued, yet the range of colors… well, they just work. I especially like the purple-ish color under the main plant, giving it a strong base. The greens in the plant itself and the variety of colors making up the background to help separate, again are just working beautifully together.
I love this and wouldn’t change a thing. My only suggestion: Print this large on canvas!
Thanks for sharing! Hope to see more!

Christine: Wonderful color palette which is emphasized by the motion and softness. Very well conceived, captured and presented. Keep 'em coming! >=))>
