I don’t post here often but thought I would seek the expert’s insights on this bison portrait. Found this guy all by himself outside Madison happily rubbing against this tree and completely unaffected by my presence. All comments and suggestions welcome.>=))>

What a beauty, Bill. I see some motion blur along its neck, perhaps it was scratching pretty vigorously. The peeled off bark is a bit of a distraction, I am wondering if darkening it would help to keep the focus on the bison?

He looks great, nice capture , pose, and exposure. The greenery reminds me more of a back yard than “the range”. Can you clime trees quick?

Great subject and interesting behavior! I agree about darkening the bright bark.
Otherwise darkening the blacks a touch may help.
