The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I seem to be doing a project on bridges these days. I shot this bridge from different angles and Just giving a different look. I plan on photographing more bridges this year for my book “Walk”…
Specific Feedback
Should I have changed the refection of the trees in the water. Are the shadows interesting as they are or more contrast needed.

That is a great find at the right moment. For me this image is about symmetry, symmetry breaking, contrast, complementing and repetition. The bridge is symmetric from this point of view. But the low light breaks this symmetry by the right arch being lit and the right arch being shaded. On the other hand the dark and light arches are complementing each other. The shadow of the left arch is another symmetry breaking element. Whereas the two parallel shadows, right in the middle, of the left fence (is that the right word?) emphasise symmetry. Taken at the right time, since the shadow of the arch just does not touch the right side of the bridge. There is a repetition of three arches.
Only a few suggestions. I would like a bit more room at the top. Maybe tone down the highlights a little on the bridge deck. Two minor things. There is a slightly distracting tree in the upper half, left from the middle. And similarly, a bright bare tree in the URC. But anyway, I like this a lot!
My wall is full right now. I have been putting my images on metal and others framed and matted outside in the hall by the studio. But maybe ill find a spot in the dining room. Thanks for showing interest…
I meant to reply here earlier but got too busy eclipse-chasing. @Igor_Hoveijn ‘s comments are such an excellent explanation. I can only add congratulations on the EP – well-deserved!
Thanks Diane. You know me. Out walking and see everyday things that most people don’t see or care. Me !! I see and feel our planet. The Soul and light. Thanks again. Pray for our Planet.
