The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
On my Jekyll Is. trip. Decided to edit this image shooting for the “Old School” Look… I have been looking at lots of books lately where the images were shot on film and printed in a kinda raw look.
So I dug this image out after months and tried to get that vibe.
Specific Feedback
Tried to keep the whites and the grays and blacks in tact and go for the large format look. Keep it Fun and Real and see what happens…
Technical Details
shutter 500. ISO 800 f18 edit in Photoshop with contrast and dodging and burning tools. Tried to treat this one like a darkroom. Just not wasting paper and worrying about little flaws. Keep it as real as I can !!!

A coll take on this image, Gill. I like the foreground reeds and I really like the way the road disappears into the drink on the right. Just a tiny bit off the bottom would really make it look like that-kind of a “Twilight Zone” vibe.
Nicely composed, Gill. I like the tonality and the arc of the bridge. As Dennis said, a tish off the bottom (to get rid of the tree tops, but not the reeds) would clean it up, but if you want to keep it real, they can certainly stay.
Another thing I like about the image is the way the angles in the clouds echo the angle of the bridge.
Thanks for showing interest. Thats the great thing about photography and music … we all see and hear different. I do both for fun. To be creative and keep it honest and real for myself. Peace to you !!!
Very cool image, Gil. As you’re making it a bit “altered” if you will I would not hesitate to try cloning out the reeds mentioned by Glennie. Obviously much more surgical over a crop approach. But it keeps much more of the main structure intact which is the real image. As usual…just my 2 cents worth.
