Image Description
Right now, the forests are back in colorful autumn glory. Worth going out, sun or no sun, fog or no fog, rain or no rain, wind or no wind … the forest is full of beautiful photo opportunities!

I really love this! My only suggestion would be to reduce the brightness of the light in the top left corner a little bit, just to enhance the gentleness Bonnie notes. But you probably had a purpose in keeping it so bright (and the title hints at this). I can’t work out what created the really interesting shapes in the LRC. All in all, superb!
Thanks all for your appreciation.
I love to play with lens flare, and yes, @Mike_Friel , the light is very bright in it on purpose. I hope it adds a bit of mystery to the photo. The flare in the BLC is a specific bokeh I can sometimes create, depending on my angle and that of the sun, using a specific lens, i.e. an old analogue Super Takumar 50mm f/1,4, full open.
Please if you want to try this, don’t look THROUGH the lens at the sun because this is seriously dangerous for your eyes. I take these photos without looking, i.e. I make the composition UNDER the sun, and then I look away while turning the camera slightly upwards.
Best, Ingrid.
Oh, this is a lot of fun. I like the different type of lens flare here that has the circles and the lower right flare. You must have to shoot a few images if you get the composition close, then move the camera into the light. The results must be fun to review.
