Shovelers Dance

Do Shovelers get dizzy? They seem to go around in circles for hours often in the same location. So I have this idea of trying to get eye contact from both birds at the same time. This one actually turned out better than I expected because of the beak display. Unfortunately the light could have been a little better as the image seems somewhat flat.

Very good, David. Quite artistic looking. I like the result of the tight framing. Shows how stuck in a rut we can get-I kept trying to get all of both birds in the frame when we were out today-now I’m asking myself why.

I think the flat light worked in your favor here as it really brings out the feather detail. Very good work.

My kind of view… You are pretty low here, nice and i like the tight comp. Tough to get all in focus, you did well.
Light looks fine to me.

Hi David,
I like this intimate look at the shoveler’s dabbling behavior. Nice look at both ducks’ eyes which is great. Nice to get both ducks sharp. Well done.
