The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Crossing a stream in Brazil, I saw this leaf skeleton in the stream bed.
I thought “I’ll get this on the way back” - then listened to my inner voice that always says “Get it NOW”.
I was glad I did, because it has disintegrated in the rising water an hour later.
Specific Feedback
Do you prefer the B&W or colour version?
I’m trying to think more about de-saturating some images, but usually prefer colour, myself

Black and White is my choice. This is a beautiful image and the leaf is so cool. Great find on your travels. Listen to your Inner Voice. Really Nice !!!
I like the B/W because it emphasizes the leaf, but I don’t see that it is above a stream like the color version shows. If your intention is to present the leaf as the “star”, I vote for the B/W; otherwise the color version.
Sandy: Your “Do it now” instinct was spot on. I fight those urges myself and have learned that some opportunities are fleeting and have to be grabbed in the moment. Even though the image RAW material is the same they are radically different IMO. The color version gives the context and as an unrepentant color junkie I like it a lot. The B&W is much more abstract and strikes me as almost an etching. Cropped tighter and with some BG cleanup and darkening I think the skeletal reference is even stronger. Great find and a great result. >=))>
Sandy I too prefer the B&W image because it has less distractions than the colored one. For the same reason I like very much the version of @Bill_Fach.
