I wanted to see what the new macro lens would do at the desert museum. I walked around looking for mostly bees and butterflies and found this small skipper jumping around.
Any suggestions welcome.
R7 RF100 f.2.8 macro 1/250 f/13 ISO 1600 HH. Cropped just a little from the right and top to remove a white edge of the next flower near it. Some noise reduction in the background.
Looks like the new macro lens is working out very well, Dean. Great detail in the skipper and the background sets him off nicely.
Dean, this is a fine look at the skipper. I like that flower he is on too. I could see darkening the BG a little to draw more attention to the subject. I haven’t bought any of the RF lenses yet. I hope the RF lens is as good as the macro 100mm L lens. That has been my favorite lens when it comes to closeup work. Nice shot.
From what I read the EF 100 is just as good as the RF. I didn’t have the 100. The lens is very light weight which is nice.
