All comments welcome! I always go a little nuts with the color on aerials – distant hills in the middle of the day really do look this blue and the camera generally records them the way they look. But I’m always afraid it looks a little phony.

Very little adjustment needed – slight contrast increase and denoise – hardly noticeable at this size.

It’s a beautiful image, Diane. I like the clouds in the valleys.

The color seems fine to me. In the foreground peaks I’m seeing something akin to vertical banding. Maybe it results from sunbeams. Maybe it’s an effect of compression. It’s not a major concern.

Very Natural and Beautiful. I think it work great leaving it the way you saw it. Your Vision. Nice Composition and I really like the simplicity !!!

Thanks, @Don_Peters and @Gill_Vanderlip! The banding is in the raw file – diffuse sunbeams. I should try to bring them out as they are a little too subtle to be contributing much.

Stunning! One word says it all.

Mmm. I can see this one and the other beautifully coloured “Golden Hills” being printed BIG and hung together.

The repeating pattern of the mist and valleys is very appealing. The colours are wonderful and that little bit of jaggy on top is the icing on the cake. What a treat.

This reminds me of those moments stepping out of a tent at the break of dawn, when the world is asleep and there’s nothing but you, the misty valley, and a hot cup of tea. Well done!

Thanks, @natalya, @glennie and @Melamud! Glennie, now you’ve enlarged on the idea of printing the other one by adding this one. Hmmmm… I am getting tired of some of the current offerings.

Hi Diane,
This is another wonderful aerial view of the mountains with some amazing light as well as wonderful atmospheric conditions. I will have to second the suggestion made by @glennie about making this a companion piece with “Golden Hills”. I just love all those intersecting ridge lines. Amazing work!

Thanks, @Ed_Lowe! And thanks for another nudge on the pair of prints – that may just happen!
