Smooth Landing

I had composed a photo like this for several months in my head. I wanted to be at an angle where I could get the white prickly poppy petals slightly below eye level. That way, I could then capture a bee’s smooth landing on the flower center just as it is here and see its pollen sack more clearly. I was glad my pre-visualization worked out well that day. I wish I could have gotten the entire flower in the shot, but you know what it’s like when shooting flying bees. I was at full cropped 400 mm zoom.

EXIF
In addition to all editing in LR, I started off with Topaz DeNoise AI even if there was not much noise in the original RAW file.
