What a little marvel. We have them in Wisconsin, too, but I don’t often get to see them so white. Usually I see them in their summer plumage. The bg color is so even and smooth it sets off the rock and the bird very well. Interesting how the beak is dark - must be part of the overall color change? I don’t know enough about them to say.

Very good, David. I like the perch and background and you have excellent detail in both the blacks and whites in the bunting.

A nice look at this snow bunting with an ideal head turn. Both blacks and whites look fine. Overall, I like the comp and this does look like a bird that is very comfortable living in Iceland…Jim

A lovely capture – the sparse setting fits a bird of northern habitat.

I love it David ! We only see those on juvenile or winter plumage, and the full male breeding plumage looks awesome. Nice you haven given it some more space as well ! Well done, Hans
