Snow-kissed

This is one of my personal favorite images. My wife and I went on a hike at a local park on one of those great fluffy snow kinds of days. The park was mostly grasslands and prairie plants that were catching the snow as it floated down toward the ground. The sky was gray so I was zooming in and out of snowy scenes with my telephoto lens. I entered this one in a local contest and it was selected to be in the final round of judging at a large garden expo. A large print of it will hopefully be seen by thousands of people. I will still love it whether or not it wins.

Very neat image with the warm color and subtle high key presentation.

yeah, this is sweet. Love the colors and the abstract nature. I can see why it is one of your favorites, it should be.

Brent, this is a great take on winter prairie grasses, with the nice warm gold of the grass sprinkled well with snow.
