Snowy Egret fight

I saw a group of Egrets and noticed some action and only managed to get one clean shot of the 2 together. It would have been nice to have more space at top but does this impact the image ?

I had to bring down highlights.

I like the interaction between the two and there is very nice detail.-both eyes are very sharp. It would have been nice to have more room at the top, but not a big deal given the eye is drawn between the two heads. For me, the image seems too dark and the white feathers appear gray on my monitor. I would also consider cloning out the brown area to the right of the lower egret.

Well, a cool interaction / action shot. To your question, yes, I think the fact the top bird is cut off is a big deal for the overall image. Overall, the image is too tight in the frame. I get it that this happens sometimes.

Exposure as presented looks very dark. Whites are headed towards grey in most areas.

I wish that there was more room and bump up the exposure a little bit will get those whites looking OK. Overall excellent action…Jim

Hi Larry, nice action image and great to get both birds sharp. I do find the clipped wing of the upper bird unfortunate and a negative impact. Still a nice interaction shown here and I wonder what is in the beak of the top bird. The open mouth of the lower bird is great.

Thanks everyone for comments. I upped the exposure on whites and it looks better. Now all I have to do is get Egrets to be closer together when they fight .
