Description: A cold windy day on the coast of Maine. Heard the snowys were back so took a ride and was surprised to find one sunning itself on a roof top.

Specific Feedback Requested: Looking up using a long lens makes for a tough shooting angle.

Nikon D500, lens 500mm, 5/6 with convertor = 700mm
1/500 sec, F8, ISO 100

Nicely done, Norma. The white of the snowy owl works nicely with the blue of the sky and the eye contact is a great touch. They are a beautiful bird for sure.

Norma, it’s a beautiful bird, set of well by the clear blue sky. It looks like there’s some motion doubling of the beak, so it may have been “muttering” about the photog… :grinning: The angle is what it is, unless you had a way to get higher.
