Image Description

Looking west leaving the San Joaqin Valley as we approach Wheeler Ridge and Tehachapi, heading southeast in November 2021. Valley fog can accumulate here in winter and tends to pile up at the south end.

Probably from about 7500 ft. Not much done except some contrast enhancement. Cropped slightly top and bottom.

Diane: I’m holding up my hand so that you can pick me to stow away with you sometime. These have all been marvelous and the near pano crop here works great. You’re really stealing the show this week lady. Good on you. >=))>

Nice image Diane. Great layering of the hills with that fog creeping into the valleys between the ridges. I lived in the central valley of California for three years back in the late 70’s, so I know how persistent that fog can be during the winter months. Looks pretty cool from above.

Thanks, @Bill_Fach and @Ted_Forman! Bill, I’ve added your name to the list, but fair warning – we’re not good at planning ahead – including where actually we will wind up.
