Thanks, Peter. I learned a new word, today. Riparian. Never heard the term before. I like this a lot. The light, though strong, really makes for a pleasing image. It really makes the reeds/grasses come alive.
This being a critique forum, I feel I must critique something  :rofl:It’s probably an optical illusion because of the shape of the grasses, but I would add just a slight touch of ccw rotation. And maybe clone out the slender highlighted tree in the BG that looks like a spider web. Just being super nit picky.

Peter, the lighting does a fine job of showing off the stands of Phragmites, both near and mid-ground. You’ve got an interesting mix of brightly inviting and darkly moody.

I’m really liking the beautiful light on those grasses/reeds. I agree with Michael about that very thin white line on the left side of the image. Sure, it may have been there but to a viewer who looks at this, especially at a relatively small image on the internet it looks strange and out of place.

Hi Peter,
The back lighting on the reeds as well as a few of those BG trees is stunning and it looks like the perfect day for your springtime hike. I like the suggestion from @Michael_Lowe about that white line. My only other suggestion would be to try and tone down some of those brightest highlights in the water toward the right side. Very peaceful looking image.
