This is the same view walking on Robinson Cemetery Road as I posted yesterday, but instead of deep winter the beginnings of spring (May 14). On these walks on back country roads it becomes easy to imagine what it was like a couple hundred or more years ago. Time travel indeed!

John: What a neat contrast. I too like to work a subject under different conditions although in my part of Texas snow is a rare commodity. My only comment on the spring image is that it looks about 1/4 to 1/2 stop overexposed and the colors on the structures look a bit subdued. Of course in full sun one might expect a bit of washing out. >=))>
As someone else remarked, I feel that this is a little overexposed to properly convey the softer, hopeful feeling of spring. It feels more like a midsummer day, and my mood would be βLet me get out of the sun and into some shade!β
I try to avoid roads and buildings in my landscape shots, but that is a personal preference. In this case the road does add an optimistic touch (βWe are almost there!β) but the buildings do not., although I do appreciate the comparison with the winter shot.
Thank you both @Bill_Fach and @Pieter_Opperman for your suggestions which I think did improve the image. And, by the way, Pieter, the buildings are, for our part of the world, quite old (1850s) some of the first constructed by non-native setters in the area. The brick building is still used for fabulous art shows.
