Spring Trees

The maples have been blooming here in Maryland for a several weeks. I’ve been watching and photographing this particular Maple (orange flowers/seeds) the whole time, but with lots of rain and clouds couldn’t get the light and color I wanted. During that time, the surrounding trees have finally started to show some green, which adds nicely to the view. (5D3, 24-105 @ 50 mm, 1/60 s, f/16, iso 400, tripod and polarizer)

Mark,

Just love the colors here! Spot on for me. And there are just a few times when a blue-bird sky works - and this is one of them; just love the color combo here. Similar to @Ed_McGuirk’s recent image, I like the diagonal of the fallen trunk adding a little dynamic to the scene.

Works quite beautifully as presented. I think an alternate might be eliminating the ground entirely. I like the greens, but the brighter winter grasses mildly pull the eye.
