Spring Woodland

Image(s)

Image Description

This particular location is about 10 minutes from my house and over the last couple of years has provided me with several springtime images that I quite enjoy. On this particular day the misty light drizzle was perfect for accentuating the delicate color of the emerging spring leaves. You have to setup along the roadway as this area belongs to a quarry and is private property. The original raw file has more room on the right side, but I cropped off a little to get rid of a couple of trees because I did not think they meshed as well with the overall scene.

I always enjoy the peaceful solitude of these type of scenes and I hope that comes across here. Do you feel the serene vibe or is it just me. Anything else you notice please feel free to mention it.

Ed, this is very pleasing and wonderfully composed. The misty light and soft coloring of the leaves adds greatly to the serenity of the image. I can’t think of any changes I’d make or any nits.

Well done, sir!

I really like the soft contrast and pastel colors , which suit the more subtle colors of spring. No suggestions. Very nice.

Ed, this is a lovely, abstract look at spring in the Eastern Woods. I wouldn’t change a thing.
