I ran across this remnant of an old tree that a pair of Cormorants were using on Padre Island National Seashore in the spring of 2017. Given the hurricane later that year, I suspect it was moved a considerable distance.
I wished for a more dramatic sky, but it was essentially an early morning haze layer.
Great image, Dennis. The wave action is wonderful and I particularly like the fact that the two cormorants are facing in opposite directions. Nicely done.
Great drama and action and while quite different from Ed’s sunrise image, there is a commonality with an old tree standing out in the surf. Amazing. The cormorants are a big plus.
