This is a dramatic remnant of a tree along Somes Sound at Mt.Desert Island, Maine. Fortunately for me the sky was pretty dramatic, too.

Awesome old snag with a very complimentary sky.
Wish there was a bit more land at the bottom, left of the tree and it was level, but not a huge deal.

Kathy, nicely seen and captured here. Many times it is not the beauty, but the ugly that can make the best scenes ever. This one old snag fits that look.
The shape of this snag is great, Kathy. It also fits well with the stormy sky behind. The details in the trunk show very well in the larger view.
I like the old twisted, dead tree against the dynamic sky, Kathy. The only nit I have is not enough of the land at the base.
