Störrös

This is a pond reflection of a “störrös”. The word ”störrös” is used locally in Härjedalen, Sweden. A “störrös” is a very simple cottage with a fireplace in the middle of the floor and a hole in the roof for the smoke to evacuate. Traditionally, here the farmer family made cheese, soft whey cheese, and so on.

Love the story and the history behind it, Ola. Wonderful photo for the challenge.

I really like this. You have met the challenge very well.

Gorgeous image, Ola! At first I thought it was ICM technique. Really nice reflection and love the colors and I love that you flipped the image. It looks like a painting!

Ola, there’s a fine painterly feeling here where the building is easily recognizable but gently distorted.

A wonderful treat and treatment of this cute little cabin. Very well seen.

@_Kris, @linda_mellor, @Vanessa_Hill, @Jim_Gavin and @Mark_Seaver thanks for your kind comments.

This may be the most perfect flipped reflection ever! The fact that the reflected grass is so sharp compared to the building is the perfect touch, making it seem like it is the actual FG.

@Diane_Miller thanks for your kind comments.

Yes, I had to check twice that it actually where the reflection.

A beautifully-dreamlike reflection of an equally beautiful structure.

Thanks @Mike_Friel, glad you liked the image.
