Störrös log of wood swirl

This is another image from my September vacation in Härjedalen, Sweden. This is a small part of a log of wood being part of the wall of a small traditional building (störrös).

I love knotholes, and this is a wonderful one with the almost 3D texture around it! The mix of very light gray in with the golden and reddish browns makes it even more special.

Reminds me of the big eye on Saturn, especially with the great swirls.

What a treat for the eyes, Ola. I am really enjoying the texture, lines, colors and wonderful composition. I can’t think of a thing that could improve it.

Ola, this is too cool. Nicely seen and a really nice photograph.

@Chris_Calohan, @Shirley_Freeman, @David_Bostock and @Diane_Miller thanks for your kind comments.

I like the colors here. The right side is a bit too light.

@Shirley_Freeman and the team, thanks for the editors pick. It is very much appreciated, and encourage me to keep on exploring the nature with my camera.
