Striped Blenny

What technical feedback would you like if any? How do like the color balance?

What artistic feedback would you like if any? Composition OK?

Pertinent technical details or techniques: D500 105mm f2.8 (1/100 sec at f10, ISO 400, Flash at full power) This is one of my fish from my reef tank. I placed it in macro rather than Man & Fauna as the fish is small and fits in the macro class. I used an off camera flash set so that the light bounces off the aquarium glass at a 45 degree angle. Hence, no glare! I also reduced the saturation of blue and cleaned up some harsh color patches in the BG with the rubber stamp tool.

Jim: Works in Macro for me. What an interesting critter, especially how the body and eye stripes line up. Really nice job on the lighting and the DOF choice. My first impression was to want more room up top but I don’t think that’s necessary after careful scrutiny. Nicely done. >=))>

A really neat critter, Jim. It works in macro for me as well. You sure have a nice reef tank. Lighting is really good.

Jim, this is a fine catch of this little fish, with the fish well positioned and interesting touches of iridescent color in the rocks below. The anemone adds a nice touch to the environment.
