Connie, it’s easy to see what attracted you to this scene, and I think you captured it wonderfully!

The only suggestion that comes to mind is to have tried a polarizer at the time of capture. At 113mm the effect should have been uniform and a deeper blue sky would have IMO really made this snowy scene pop!

It’s Cold!..that my reaction. Hoarfrost often leaves lovely scenes and this one handles that well, Connie. I like the “spareness” of the subject and it’s set off well by the soft blues of the sky. While I think the extra blue sky along the horizon looks good, I wonder how localized blue desaturation would look?

Connie, I agree with @Jim_Erhardt ,I see why you took the shot. Its clean, clear and crisp. A little more blue sky would have been even better.
I took Jim’s advise and visited your web site. WOW, your a Great photographer. I really like how you have taken images of all different subjects, I’m in awe, you do see the spirt in Nature.
THANKS

Wow, thanks john for your kind words. It means a lot. -Connie

Thanks for putting in a good word for my website Jim, so appreciated. I’m going to have to experiment with those blues - they were so delicate, and ephemeral that day. Not sure I want to mess with that feeling, but maybe…who knows? Thanks for your thoughts. -Connie

Hmmmmm….where would you desaturate?
