The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

These gorgeous Hypna Clytemnestra (Silver-studded Leafwing) butterflies are fairly uncommon in Ecuador’s Amazon area. These two were along the path to the lodge from the river. A very messy BG, so I asked the guide to run a stick through the armholes of his black jacket and hold up a BG for me.

What beautiful butterflies. Wonderful colors. Is there a sort of luminescence (?) that makes the color? Like hummers? The jacket was a great idea. Presumably he took it off before the stick was run through the arm holes  Pretty darn good symmetry, too.

Really fun image. I like how they are looking right at each other. I was wondering about the clean, black background. Thanks for sharing that. Very nice improvising there to help make that scene really come alive. I think your crop, composition and colors look nice. Not much to add here since this looks about spot on. Nicely done.

Sandy, these are two very colorful butterflies. How nice to get them facing each other in a single shot.

Wonderful butterflies, and the angle was perfect for focus on both. The leaves and BG really bring out the gorgeous colors.
