This was taken April 9, 2021 in Toronto Canada. Not that many Canadian residents know that at this time of year in right locations there are many butterflies to be seen.

Terrific catch of these two - mourning cloak (brown) and what appears to be a comma. Great back to back poses. A scroll crop to eliminate the branches helps strengthen the composition.
Larry, Iām coming in here late. We went out of town for about 24 hours, first time since the pandemic. I like the back to back pose that they gave you. Interesting butterflies that I have never seen before.
Larry, this is a neat catch. Getting two butterflies posing on the same tree is a real treat. The one on the left is in the Anglewing family, while the one on the right is a Morning Cloak. Both of these species overwinter in their adult forms, so they are often the first butterflies seen in the spring.
