I shot this January 2009. It was a very cold sunset at 23 degrees and windy.

Great looking sky and the pano format works beautifully here, Merle. The sunstar through the lower sections of the tree silhouettes is also a nice touch in this scene. Looks like a great way to end the day. I could also see this working with a crop from the right side to emphasize the wonderful character of the section of trees in front of the setting sun. I hope you dod not mind, but here is a rework with what I was thinking. Just a suggestion of course as this is lovely as is.

Thank you for looking Ed. I appreciate it. I agree with the crop from the left. I used the pano for a 16x38 canvas wrap for display on a fireplace mantle. The purple sky complimented the decor of the room. I had walked into the hills of the region and spotted this on my way out.

Merle, those are tall grasses… :laughing:. The colors in the sky are excellent and the silhouetted trees have interesting shapes. Your pano format fits the scene well. The sunstar is a nice extra.
