Description
Here’s a more conventional look at one of the many branches of Tangled Creek and the Bobby Socks trees that it winds through. While this is a much “cleaner” view, I don’t find it as interesting as my previous post from this area at least partly because it’s so organized. For me, that organization doesn’t capture the density and chaotic nature of the many dead trees and fallen branches.

Mark, I wasn’t familiar with the “Bobby Socks” you mentioned in your previous image. I can see why they call it that. I remember the Bobby Socks of years ago when I was a little girl. I sure see how these trees got their name. I like both images a lot.
Mark, I haven’t yet seen the other image you posted but I like this one a lot! Then again I do like ‘structure’ very often. This has such a lovely clean feel to it - and while it might not express the chaotic nature of this location, it still works just as it is for me. The eye is drawn through the trees so nicely by that path of water.
I prefer this image to the other you mention, and like it a lot. Yes, it doesn’t convey the chaos of nature, but sometimes organization is pleasing. For me the beauty of this photo is the interesting composition and the complementary colors with the white border between them.
