The Elephant God

This is the same Red-ear elephant, whose close up I posted last week.
Someone happened to take my picture with this gentle giant, so I’m posting it for some additional interest.
I just can’t wait to get this printed in poster size, to be able to see the fine details, which were possible because of 45 MP resolution of R 5 & Canon 200 mm f2 lens.

Woah, that is some close encounter. I’m so in awe of what you do and how you do it. The position and attitude of the trunk in the first photo is so evocative - curiosity, gentleness, inquiry…it all seems to be there. Lovely tusks too. So much more salmony-pink than African elephants. Smaller ears and the head shape seems different, too, but you probably know these animals so much more thoroughly. Thanks so much for bringing them to us.
