The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Another day, another magnificent hike in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. My endorphin-addled brain saw a monster reflected in the creek. On such a fantastic trip, even the monsters are friendly.
Specific Feedback
I wonder, do you see a monster head with 2 eyes in the upper third of the image? Not necessary, but I did try to emphasize it with the B&W processing.
Thanks for any other comments too!

WOW, you made the picture I was looking for!! Yes, I see the friendly ghost, rising out of the water. The B&W is a good choise. The ripples above gives the photo a fairytale effect.
Maybe the little dark part in the right corner needs a little bit of lighting up, it distracts the subtle lines now.
Well done!
Wonderful find, well presented! I do see a monster, but a friendly one. (They have a bad rap.) My eye is enjoying searching around in the intricacies, which are very high on the scale for this type of image – I don’t think it’s common to have this much going on and still have the refinement of levels of structural detail you have here. Well done!!
Cathy, I’m not seeing the monster but will look more closely. First, I’m jealous of your time at Grand Staircase-Escalanate. I’ve only driven through that area once and the views from higher up were fantastic. I can only imagine the great opportunities for exploration in the Monument. Wonderful water abstract image!
The black and white edit was a good choice to make the patterns and shapes stand out. I would recommend bumping up the highlights and nudging the midtones up to help push the gray tones in the upper section brighter.
Lovely reflections, Cathy and yes, I do see the monster head, though I probably wouldn’t have found it without your calling attention to it. Black and white was perfect for this.
Henny, Friendly ghosts are definitely out there, just keep an eye out and you will certainly find them too. Thanks for pointing out the dark bit in the upper right corner, I burned it down a bit in the edited version.
Diane, I agree that monsters have a bad rap.
Alfredo, GSENM is fantastic. Many lifetimes worth of exploring in a vast and varied area. Thanks for your suggestions about the highlights and midtones, I gave it a go in the edited version, not sure I did enough?
