Wow. It’s like a corner of a renaissance painting. Sublime. Humbling. I applaud your patience at 3am!

Excellent tonal management. The brightness of that central area is HUGE compared to the detail of the nebular filaments.

Thanks Diane, 30 seconds almost blows it out, 60 seconds was too long. At f5.6
It’s incredibly bright.

WOW Great Image!!!

Thanks Charles, I shoot all night at Prineville but go to bed at 11 pm after selecting my first target of the night. I set the alarm to get up and change targets (Orion does not rise until very late this time of year), Set up shooting schedule on my phone with my Asiair ( a mini computer that runs everything) and go back to bed. It’s not that hard.

Fantastic image @Dan_Kearl !
I notice that you used a different camera and lens here, vs what you used for your Veil image. I think the Veil was with the ASI294 with Williams 71gt.
What makes you choose one camera/lens over another from image to image?

Thanks Mark.
I have 2 setups on 2 mounts.
678mm and 1600mm effective focal lengths so I can shoot 2 targets at once.
I just pick targets that suit the comp I want on targets.
I shoot both at same time at a place like Prineville. At home I use one or the other.
