The Sentinel

A lone White-fronted Goose sticking it’s head up above an embankment to make sure I wasn’t up to no good. There is a hunting season on the refuges.

What technical feedback would you like if any?

Anything. Not much editing done on this. I cropped it and cloned a number of out of focus dead stalks sticking up from the embankment.

Dennis: Love the POV here and the shallow DOF. Top notch. >=))>

What a cool shot, Dennis. I love that you capture just the head and neck. Great portrait. Looks like he has some green grass in his beak.

Nice capture, Dennis! I like the isolation in this with everything our of focus except for the goose! It clearly emphasizes the theme!

The positioning of the bird’s neck and head really draws attention to it, Dennis; the reflections at the top grade the waters nicely too.

Hi Dennis
This is a nice pov and Gary is correct in that only the goose is focus and that make the shot.

Love the “popped up head” look here Dennis, with everything other than the goose nicely soft.
