The smoke that thunders

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Mosi oa-Tunya or Victoria Falls is an experience that fills the ears and eyes and coats every surface, raincoats and all, with a downpour of water. From a distance it IS smoke and then, closer, the thunder becomes overwhelmingly obvious. Photographing the Falls was exciting, soaking wet, and, honestly, challenging to find images of the 100m drop that might work on their own. Perhaps the only way this one could work better would be if it were a video!

Woah! I can almost feel the force of the waterfall in this image. Excellent choice of a shutterspeed to convey the sense of the force too.

I’d also like to add that it almost looks like the waterfall is moving so I don’t think a video would be needed
