The Stroke. (Blubbermouth)

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Image taken one morning on a rocky part of the coastline close to home. A faourite spot for me as I can easily lose myself for a couple of hours there.
Recently I have really taken to heart the mantra of slowing down and how things will then start to reaveal themselves instead of my having to look for them myself.
I was struck by this particular scene because of its resemblance (to me) of a contorted mouth.

Specific Feedback

Any feedback whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

Technical Details

The image was taken at f8 1/30sec and iso 50

Dewi, you’ve got great textures and good colors in these rocks. I like the angled crevice and “mouth” opening in the upper left. I do wonder about lifting the view slightly to avoid cutting off that opening, but don’t know what might be lurking just outside the frame… BTW, each weekly challenge runs for only one week, so this missed the macro-textures week. It would have been a fine entry.

Thank you Mark. Yeah I knew that about the challenge but just forgot about the time
