The tree's of Sossusvlei

Description:The trees died, as there no longer was enough water to survive. The remaining skeletons of the trees, which are believed to have died 600–700 years ago (ca. 1340-1430), are now black because the intense sun has scorched them.

Wonderful!! These timeless trees against that huge dune is a classic that can never be done too many times!

Beautiful 3-color scene. I like the white strip at the bottom. It contrasts so well against both the dune and the trees.

Avi, the shapes of the trees stand out very well. They are set off nicely by the white sand below and the warm (almost orange) sand of the big dune behind.
