The Universe in a Tree

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I take images of driftwood in many different locations. This was taken along the Puget Sound in Washington.
I love how the twisting of the wood reminds us we are all part of the Universe.

Specific Feedback

I was wonder if you find this image as engaging as I do, I did push the limits of lightroom to bring out all the colors of the wood, but I did not add anything that was not there.

I think this is super cool! I really enjoy all the swirls and the dark waves that cut through the brighter parts. The circular rings around the various knots add points of interest for me. The top left corner seems a little purple to me. I wonder if that can be more natural color? Great shot!

I love the patterns in the wood, great light interplay. Very nice shot.

I love the texture and motion you captured in this driftwood. They always have the coolest shapes winding around, and it makes me wonder about the tree it came from. Very cool image. I am also in WA state, we have so many places to shoot in the PNW.

My daughter lives there so we go every year. Looking forward to June when we go back.
