Thirsty Kids

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

We seem to have an extra crop of new fawns here lately. Here are some twins in our backyard getting a birdbath drink.

Specific Feedback

I looked at different crops and ended up liking this tight pose the best. Too tight? What say you?

That’s some serious cuteness! I think the crop works nicely. You got nice highlights in the fawn’s eyes, and the water drops on their mouths, which is a nice bonus. You might consider dealing with some of the bright spots in the BG, though. Nicely done, Dave.

I’d kind of like to see the stubby little tail on the front fawn, Dave. However this frame does minimize the bright background.
