Just another clouded day on the Back River. A group of Sandpipers were working the shore, so I sat down on the boat launch and waited.

Canon 7Dll, Sigma 150-600mm, 562mm, F7.1, 1/1250, 500 ISO. I brought up the exposure by .12 and cropped the shot by 40% into 4/3 in DxO Photo Lab.
Nice one Peter. I like the soft side lighting and low angle. Well focused and exposed. I wonder how a tight vertical crop from this image would look. Interesting how the raised foot looks.
Nice close-up look at the Sanderling(?). Like the pose with the raised foot. Like how it shows both sand and water.
I like the low point of view, Peter, and the head-on pose works very well. Excellent detail as well.
